The head of the board of the Alliance “The New Energy of Ukraine” Valeriy Borovik conducted the first round of negotiations with the Crimean Government representative Victor Plakida and germane investors "EWO Energietechnologie GmbH" . The question was the creation of Technological Center of Future Energy (TCFE) – the area for bringing in of western investments into energy-saving industry of the peninsula. In accordance with the conception the structure of the techno center will be social-municipal enterprise with an enviable financial benefit for local budget. The Center will also deal with the whole complex of new aspects in work along with the traditional electric power making methods, up to economized emissions of carbon dioxide trading. The priority will be given to wind-power engineering.

The Ukrainians used up for about 182 billion kwh of energy in the year 2006.

Energy consumption in Ukraine, taking into account technological wastes in power grids, increased for 2/8% or for 5.013 billion kwh in the year 2006 as compared with the year 2005 – up to 181.884 billion kwh.

According to the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, on Thursday, the 11^th of January, energy consumption by final consumers last year increased for 4% or 5,528 billion kwh – up to 143, 449 billion kwh.

In 2006, industry intensified energy consumption for 2.3% as compared with the year 2005 – up to 79,691 billion kwh, the population – for 7.2%, up to 28,338 billion kwh.

The share of industry in the total energy consumption volume in Ukraine reduced from 56.5% in the year 2005 up to 55.6% in the year 2006 whereas the Ukrainians’ one increased from 19.2% up to 19.8%.

Rewarding of children’s drawings contest winners

The finale of children’s drawings contest, called “My warm ”, took place on the 18^th of December in The Ukrainian House in the hall of Ukrainian time. The contest was devoted to the theme of energy-saving and was organized and carried out by The Alliance “The New Energy of Ukraine”. The Alliance was founded as a freewill initiative for providing the formation of energy-saving world view in the Ukrainian society in today’s conditions. The aim of the contest is to form the growing-up generation’s economic attitude to energy consumption.
